IMAN BB Creme Review

So back in January I posted my birthday wish list, and the IMAN Skin Tone Evener BB creme was on it. This product was just released at the beginning of the year. Currently it can be ordered online and at select drugstores it retails for $20 dollars, I purchased this product from drugstore.com. In order to give a honest review I wanted to incorporate this product into my everyday makeup routine, which during the week days it consist of spot concealing any blemishes, MAC mineralize skin finish, and some mascara (yes that's it!). I was really excited about trying out this product and for the first two days or so I was assured that it was worthy of at least 4 stars. Then the third and fourth day came, and literally all hell broke loose. I woke up to a red blotchy rash all over my face! I knew it had to be this product because it was the newest item I added to my makeup routine. After that I jumped on makeupalley.com to find out if anyone else had an adverse reaction to the product. Of course there were really great reviews with beauty lovers raving about this product but as continued scrolling down I started reading more and more reviews of other beauty lovers who also experienced some type of skin irritation on their face. Again, before a rash started spreading across my face I really liked the sheer coverage of this BB creme and the shade matched my skin perfectly, however, this BB creme is in the trash and I'm back to square one!

Update: I'm Back!

Hey y'all! I'm back from a month long hiatus. I had a lot going on (not necessarily anything bad) so blogging had to take a back seat for a little while. I figured what better time to jump back into blogging then now since I'm stuck in the bed. I had my all four of my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday so I've been confined to my room with nothing but Netflix, an ice pack and several packs of gauze. I have no complaints about the procedure because I was IV sedated, so when I woke up and I was already magically back at home in the bed.  I decided to use these last few days to break away from my phone, it's extremely therapeutic to disconnect from the world every once in a while so that's what I decided to do. So after letting family and close friends know that I was doing ok, I turned my phone off and relaxed. If you never tried being away from your phone for at least a day or two you should definitely try it. I used to do it all the time in college around midterms, or finals so I could focus, and it always did wonders for my stress level. So here's a few pics from this month to make this update a little more concise,  my cousin Ebonee complains about my "lengthy" blog posts LOL

  • She turned her can'ts into cans & her dreams into plans- I love that quote. I came across this pic on Instagram and I instantly set it as my phone lock screen, just to serve as a little reminder of what I'm striving for everyday
  • Snapped a pic in the car on the way to work #shamelessselfie
  • Hello Jersey! My mom  and I bought our airline tickets to visit my brother in NJ Memorial Day Weekend. He just moved there last month so this will be our first time checking out his new place. Luckily he's a 10 minute metro ride from Manhattan so shopping in NY will be a must!!
  • I participated in Color Me Rad 5K with some girls from work. Although it started snowing during the race and the temp was somewhere in the 20s I still had the best time! I even managed to finish with a pretty decent time. I'm already planning to do another 5K during the summer, and yes all that color I was bombed with came out my hair and clothes.
  • The last pic was in a local magazine taken at a charity event I attended with some of my co-workers. It was a fashion show and silent auction to benefit Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research. Great food, an open bar, and seeing so much money being raised for such an amazing cause made it a wonderful night.

So now that March is pretty much up can we finally get some spring weather?!
